More than a winner.
The reasons behind the choice.
“A blue ceramic mug on an ivory background.”

The details make
the difference.
A follows the requested blue color and ivory setting. B is well composed, but changes both.
LESS GUESSWORK. MORE UNDERSTANDING.
When two answers both look good, the difference is in the details. Second Look brings the original request, both responses, and the available evidence into one focused comparison.
Select the original prompt and both responses on a page, or paste them in. Attach the media that matters.
Click Compare. The AI assesses each response against the request, using only the evidence you provide.
Get a preference, specific observations about both responses, and an explanation you can review and copy.
LOOK CLOSER
A useful second opinion makes its reasoning visible.
Explore an example in each format.
DESIGNED FOR YOUR JUDGMENT
Open Second Look in Chrome’s side panel, beside the work you’re reviewing. Capture what you need without losing your place.
See how each response follows the prompt, where it adds value, and what it misses. The reasoning is specific to your comparison.
Sometimes it’s a tie. Sometimes there isn’t enough evidence. Second Look can say both, and surfaces limitations instead of hiding them.
Nothing is sent for comparison until you click Compare. Selected content then goes to this hosted backend and OpenAI for processing. Your provider API key stays on the server; drafts stay in panel memory. The extension doesn’t submit ratings for you.
A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Everything you need for your first second look.
It compares two AI responses against the original prompt and returns an overall preference, confidence, an explanation, observations about each response, and evidence limitations. It’s an AI-assisted second opinion: review the explanation and use your own judgment.
Download and unzip the extension. Open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, click Load unpacked, and choose the extracted second-look folder containing manifest.json. Pin the extension, then add your access token in Connection settings. The hosted endpoint is already configured. Follow the installation guide.
You need a backend access token supplied privately by the administrator of this deployment. You do not put an OpenAI API key in the extension. Comparisons use the administrator’s configured API account and may incur provider usage charges. Downloading the extension alone does not grant service access.
Audio is normalized to mono at 24 kHz and assessed for content and audible quality. Video uses 12 timestamped frames plus soundtrack analysis. It does not continuously analyze motion or verify audiovisual synchronization. Clips must be at most 3 minutes; the result explains evidence limitations.
Clicking Compare sends your selected prompt, responses, and media to this backend, which forwards the required evidence to OpenAI. Requests disable model response storage, but provider retention rules still apply. The backend doesn’t log comparison content. When a media host you have allowed requires sign-in, Chrome can use your existing session to download the selected file. The extension does not read those cookies or send them to the comparison backend. Temporary audio files are removed after processing. Drafts clear when the panel is destroyed, and the access token clears when your browser session ends.
You can select text and native images, audio, or video on regular webpages. Protected media, embedded players, closed shadow roots, and some streaming content may need a manual upload instead. After switching tabs or navigating to another site, click the Second Look toolbar icon on that website to allow page selection. This keeps your side panel and draft open. Chrome’s own settings pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot be selected. Media-host access is requested only when needed.
